-

https://app.thestudiodirector.com/shockdancecenter/portal.sd?page=Login
No dancers will be eligible to audition who have an outstanding balance. Solo auditions are an additional $15 and are held after Company auditions (same day).

Please note: your spot is NOT reserved until both the payment on the portal and this form are completed.
During ALL company auditions, dancers may be asked to follow a brief warmup. They will then be asked to learn a short piece of choreography and perform it in groups. They may also be asked to demonstrate specific technical skills.

SOLO AUDITIONS:
Each dancer interested in competing a solo for the 2026-2027 season will be required to perform a 45-second, self-choreographed solo piece in the genre they wish to compete (no previous solos or choreography please). The cost will be $15 for the solo audition. Dancers must come with a phone to be plugged in for music that starts at the beginning of the track. **Please note, dancers only need to prepare one solo audition, even if your goal is to have multiple solos next season. Final genre decisions will be determined by Shock staff, regardless of genre that is auditioned.**
Solos require a significant commitment—both in time and financial investment—and we want to ensure that every dancer is truly ready for this responsibility. Because of this, auditioning for a solo does not guarantee that a dancer will receive one. Our staff will carefully evaluate each dancer’s audition, as well as their work ethic, classroom behavior, dedication, and overall readiness to determine if a solo is the right fit.
Additionally, with our growing number of dancers, this process is essential to ensuring that our staff has the time and resources to provide every soloist with the attention and training they deserve. We appreciate your continued support and understanding of this process.

**Solo/duo/trio invites will go out with Company invites at the end of May.**
